PM Modi speaks to Russian President Vladimir Putin, thanks him for Russia support in India’s fight against Covid | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin, thanking him for Russia’s help and support in India’s fight against Covid-19. While Putin told Modi that Russia will deliver ’emergency’ India virus aid.
In a series of tweets after a telephonic conversation with Putin, Modi said, “Had an excellent conversation with my friend President Putin today. We discussed the evolving Covid-19 situation, and I thanked President Putin for Russia’s help and support in India’s fight against the pandemic.”
“Our cooperation on Sputnik-V vaccine will assist humanity in battling pandemic,” PM Modi said after speaking to Russian President.

PM Modi further informed that both the leaders reviewed the diverse bilateral cooperation, especially in the area of space exploration and renewable energy sector, including in hydrogen economy.
“To add further momentum to our strong strategic partnership, President Putin and I have agreed to establish a 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue between our Foreign and Defence Ministers,” PM said.
